Collagen & Sleep: Common Questions

Do these mallows contain collagen?
Yes. The gelatin used in our Maple Mallows is derived from grass fed bovine collagen. Gelatin is simply cooked collagen. It carries the same amino acid profile, including glycine.

What's the difference between collagen and glycine?
Collagen is a structural protein found in connective tissue. When collagen is broken down, whether by digestion or the cooking process that turns it into gelatin, it releases amino acids, the most abundant of which is glycine. So gelatin is a natural source of glycine, not a separate ingredient.

Why is glycine relevant to sleep?
Glycine is an amino acid that plays a role in the nervous system. Our product description notes that glycine supports deeper, more restful sleep, a quality many people look for in their evening ritual. How any ingredient affects sleep varies from person to person.

What exactly is in these mallows?
Organic grass fed bovine gelatin, organic maple syrup, water, and organic vanilla. That's it. No corn syrup, no artificial ingredients, no additives.

Will everyone experience the same effects?
No. Individual responses to food ingredients vary based on diet, lifestyle, sleep habits, and overall health. We share what our ingredients are and what they're known for. We can't make promises about specific outcomes for any individual.
